Fishing Bridge got the job done at Ludlow this afternoon,
as I hope he would…
Like
I said this morning, he was a well handicapped horse, with conditions in his
favour, so there was no reason why he wouldn’t run well.
I
guess the danger was that one of his rivals might post an improved performance
(that is always a bit of a risk in low grade races) – but thankfully that didn’t
happen and he first caught, and then passed, both Market Option and Captain
Flash, between the final two flights.
Ultimately, it was a comfortably enough victory – tho the
likely rise in the weights will make it tricky for him to follow up.
Following this mornings shenanigans, maybe the most
interesting aspect of the race was his SP – and BSP.
The
former was 5/1, with the latter 6.4. That’s’ just 2 ticks below the price he was
when I issued at 8:30.
It
does make you question the clamouring for prices…
In
the other 2 races, that I mentioned: then Still Believing got the better of Take
the Mick (who did just that !) in the handicap chase; whilst Guarde Le Victoire
was a comfortable, if unspectacular, winner of the novice chase.
On
to tomorrow then…
